On the 12th July, I was delighted to arrange for the British Liver Trust #LoveYourLiver mobile unit to come to Warwick Square, right outside the Old Bailey.
City workers, Old Bailey barristers and Judges and City of London Corporation employees had their liver function tested for free. This roadshow helps people check their liver health and take control of improving it. This is a quick, simple, and painless test, carried out by one of the British Liver Trusts’ specialist liver nurses.
More than one in five of us are at risk of developing liver disease and discovering if you are at risk at an early stage means that you are more likely to be effectively treated and change your lifestyle before serious problems occur. It also means that you can ask your GP for further tests if needed.
The Love Your Liver mobile screening and scanning unit event also raises awareness for the importance of checking your liver health.
