Temple Bar Ceremonial Opening

Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL was delighted to attend the ceremonial opening of #TempleBar for the Architects Company with The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO GCStJ, the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Nicholas Lyons), Alderman Sir William Russell and Sheriff Andrew Marsden.

In 2004 Temple Bar – the ancient western gateway to the City of London – was returned to the Square Mile as part of the redevelopment of Paternoster Square by Mitsubishi Estates. The return to the City was arranged by the Temple Bar Trust. Temple Bar and the adjacent Paternoster Lodge now comprise the home for the Architects’ Company.
