Carers Trust 50th Anniversary at the Old Bailey
Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL had the pleasure of hosting a reception on 29th March 2023 for the Carers Trust at the Old Bailey to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK’s first carer organisation. The reception highlighted the incredible work completed over the past fifty years by carer organisations, supporting millions of unpaid carers.
Communities and Faiths Series - JLC Reception
On 30th March 2023 Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL celebrated the Jewish contribution to the City of London with the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC) at the Old Bailey Grand Hall. The event was hosted by Sheriff King and the City of London Corporation, and sponsored by Regal London.
IoD Japan-UK Symposium
As Chair of IoD London Region, Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL had the pleasure of helping to host and celebrate the 150th anniversary of the historic Iwakura Mission at the Japan-UK Symposium, run by the Institute of Directors (IoD) International Trade Group (Japan Special Interest Group).
Temple Bar Ceremonial Opening
Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL was delighted to attend the ceremonial opening of #TempleBar for the Architects Company with The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO GCStJ, the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Nicholas Lyons), Alderman Sir William Russell and Sheriff Andrew Marsden.
British Liver Trust Mobile Unit 2023
Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL was delighted to have recently cut the ribbon for the new #LoveYourLiver mobile unit for The British Liver Trust in Luton. Alastair has recently been appointed as Chair of the British Liver Trust.
Treloar's College Annual Visit Ability Drive
Alderman and Sheriff Alastair King DL had the pleasure of greeting the staff and students at Treloar’s with the Lady Mayoress, and Sheriff Andrew Marsden for the annual visit of the Rt. Hon Lord Mayor of the City of London.
Sheriff King was treated to a live demonstration of the new Ability Drive software
