BUSINESS LEADER
He is Founder and Chairman of the Naisbitt King Group (NKG). NKG is an independent, FCA-regulated fund management and family office group headquartered in the City. It is active in the Middle East, Far East and Europe. NKG is a noted specialist in London’s global fixed income markets and runs a series of fixed income funds for institutions and wealthy families from around the world, both in traditional fixed income and in sukuk (Shariah-compliant) instruments.
Alastair is also Non-Executive Director of Slater Investments Limited, a leading equity-only fund management house with over £2bn under management, headed by Mark Slater, a prominent London-based equity fund manager. Alastair is Non-Executive Chairman of Talbot Capital Limited, a well-known regulated specialist fund administrator.
Prior to founding NKG, Alastair was Founder and Chairman of Glendevon King Limited, a fixed income fund management company sold in 2016. He was also Founder and Chief Executive of AIM-quoted Eredene Capital plc (2005 to 2013), an infrastructure investment fund specialising in India which invested in 11 large infrastructure projects across India.
Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at NewMedia SPARK plc (now SPARK Ventures) one of the pioneering venture capital companies in London and was Managing Director at Galahad Capital Plc, a successful quoted buy-out vehicle.
Alastair was previously a lawyer and practiced as a solicitor at leading international law firm Baker & McKenzie in the City and in Asia.
BACKGROUND
Of proud Scottish heritage, Alastair’s tertiary education was at the University of Kent, the University of Bristol, the College of Law and at the London Business School.
BUSINESS ADVOCACY
Alastair is Chair of the Institute of Directors London Region, one of the most active IoD Regions, with many thousands of members. Prior to this, he was Chair, IoD City of London Branch.
Alastair is an active member of the Young President’s Organisation (YPO), the world’s premier peer network of young chief executives. He served on the European Board of YPO (2016-18) and has been Chapter Chair of two London-based YPO Chapters, YPO London Mayfair and YPO London Star (of which he is co-founder).

Alastair is heavily involved in the running the following charities:

Chair, Common Earth – leading environmental foundation, associated with the Commonwealth Secretariat and committed to Regenerative Development. Common Earth is the founder of the Common Earth Alliance – an Umbrella Organisation consisting of major environmental group.

Vice-Chairman, Breast Cancer Haven, a leading UK national breast cancer charity.

Chairman of the Haringey Project for “On-Side” – a leading provider of youth clubs (“Youth Zones”) in deprived metropolitan areas.

Trustee and Treasurer of the Metropolitan Drinking Foundation and Cattle Trough Association (founded 1859) (more commonly known as “The Drinking Fountain Association”) which promotes the provision of drinking water for people and animals in the UK and in the developing world;
Through his involvement with the City of London Corporation, Alastair serves as: Trustee, Morden College, Trustee, Samuel Wilson Loan Trust
INTERESTS
Alastair is a keen boxer trained in Shoreditch and enjoys hill walking with his two Italian Greyhounds, Siena and Florence.
