The Scotsman: Scotland’s financial services sector doing so well that investors from London and Japan are on their way

As Lord Mayor of London, and someone with proud Aberdeenshire heritage, I am deeply honoured that the City of London Corporation is hosting the inaugural Scotland Global Investment Summit.

This summit, developed in partnership with Scottish Financial Enterprise and supported by the Scottish Government, builds on the renewed Partnership Agreement I signed earlier this year. It deepens collaboration across green and sustainable finance, fintech, data, AI, and more.

We are proud to bring global investors to Scotland to witness first-hand the innovation, talent, and ambition that make it such a compelling place to invest. From fintech in Edinburgh to green finance in Glasgow, Scotland is not just a regional centre - it is a national asset.
