The Business & Trade Dinner at Mansion House.

It was a pleasure to host the Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds MP and President of the British Chambers of Commerce, Baroness Martha Lane Fox, for the annual Business & Trade Dinner at Mansion House at the start of May.

Jonathan Reynolds MP speaking

The United Kingdom has always been a champion for open, fair, rules-based trade, as our recent trade deal with India demonstrates. At a time when some other countries are rolling down the shutters, there is an opportunity for the United Kingdom to attract new business and investment and for London to become the independent business capital of the world.

Baroness Martha Lane Fox

In my speech, I argued that we must build on the momentum of the United Kingdom-India trade deal, jump on planes, bang on doors, and present the United Kingdom’s offer to partners old and new.
