The Innovation & Technology Dinner
On the 3rd September at Mansion House, we celebrated the UK’s thriving tech sector at the Innovation & Technology Dinner - a powerful showcase of British ingenuity, ambition, and global leadership.
From the Industrial Revolution to the AI revolution, London has long been a global hub for transformative ideas. As Europe’s leading tech centre, we’re proud to host over 160 unicorns and a world-class AI sector.
We heard inspiring remarks from Peter Kyle, Secretary of State for Science, Innovation & Technology, and Dame Anne Margaret Glover of Amadeus Capital Partners - two champions of British innovation. Their leadership is helping shape a future where UK tech not only scales but stays and succeeds.
Following the dinner, we welcome the launch of the £11 million AI Assurance Innovation Fund - a bold step to future-proof the UK’s AI sector. With £2.9 billion invested in British AI firms last year alone, this new roadmap will help build public trust, unlock new jobs, and create a standalone industry to support responsible AI growth.
From advanced digital verification systems to emerging synthetic data platforms, the City of London is championing practical innovations that boost skills, reduce fraud, and accelerate responsible AI development.
Through initiatives like the Mansion House Accord, our Scale Up Showcases, and SME Strategy, we’re backing British tech to thrive.
Innovation born in Britain must thrive in Britain.
