The launch of PISCES

I was delighted to join colleagues at the London Stock Exchange on the 30th June to formally launch PISCES, a transformative initiative to unlock capital for high-growth firms.

The UK is a world-class place to start a business, but too many innovative companies struggle to scale due to a lack of domestic investment. PISCES bridges the gap between private and public markets, enabling firms to grow, trade, and succeed right here in the UK.

It also opens new doors for international private companies, especially family-owned businesses, offering structured liquidity while preserving control. Encouragingly, PISCES has already attracted significant international interest and is expected to begin trading by year-end.

PISCES is part of a broader movement, which includes the Mansion House Accord, aimed at revitalising our capital markets and supporting the sectors that will define our future: clean energy, biotech, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.
