Visit to Sweden

The United kingdom and Sweden: strong partners in business and culture.

With £41bn of investments, the United Kingdom is Sweden’s second largest foreign investor - and our ties are only deepening. During my trip to Stockholm I met with the Swedish Minister for Financial Markets, Niklas Wykman. I also met with leading Swedish financial institutions and businesses including SEB, Andra AP-fonden (AP2), AMF, NatWest Sweden, Svensk Värdepappersmarknad and their members to discuss cross-border capital flows and long-term collaboration.

I also spotlighted the Mansion House Accord, which will unlock tens of billions of pounds of investment from UK pension funds for infrastructure projects and high-growth businesses, and make it easier for Swedish and British businesses to co-invest in long-term, stable, high-potential sectors.
